I found out how my husband gets Dan Murphy discounts and I thought Iâd share it with youse. He goes into the app or website (that part is unclear. Forgot to ask) and places an order in the cart. Closes it up, waits until it times out (again I didnât ask how long) then goes back in and thereâs usually a message like Sorry your time is up. How about discount? something like that. I donât know if it will work for you or if itâs because heâs a regular customer.
And thatâs why Iâm staring at 5 slabs of beer and 30 bottles of soju.

I found one of those scammy cunts who have no reserve and then fake bid up to your max and then after itâs ended message you a second chance just over your max bid. After a couple of times on this item (just some stupid little duck figurines for an in-joke) I set a max bid of two bucks and let nature take its course.

Abandoned cart recovery emails. They are implemented on a few websites but obviously requires them to have your email which has its own costs.

7 out of every 10 times someone adds products to a shopping cart, they donât actually proceed with the payment.
Shopping cart software often has a feature called âcart recoveryâ that prompts people to complete their purchase if they are part of that 70%. However, it requires the customer to have at least put their email in during the checkout process they didnât fully complete.
It is common for these entered email address to be stored for marketing/spam emails. A bit of a grey area legally actually.

Oh right yeah. I know he has to put in a code (itâs the same everytime) and that he has a separate special Dan Spam email account.
