Honestly disappointed. I’d have liked to see a straight up “not guilty” plea, and go hard and direct on the constitutional angle. It’s pretty obvious that the laws violate the implied right to freedom of political communication. They serve no function but that.

I mean those are the same. If you argue that the laws are nonsense, then you are arguing that you are not guilty.
