some instances ban porn and some ban all nsfw (mine says it bans both but the “keep it sfw” seems to be an unenforced guideline)

Most are on the lemmynsfw instance which has shut down. That’s why they can’t be posted in. The fedinsfw.app instance was created as a replacement, and there are also communities on other instances.
