ml definitely has that vibe. Mods there got weird standards on what breaks the rules and what doesn’t.
Comment on avoid these instances
pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 1 month agoThe key word is avoid, I still go to these places. Also, we don’t know who instances are ultimately ran by. Having said that, still lemmy is way better than reddit which I avoid almost completely. I can only come up with 4:
- LemmyWorld- They curate their front page
- ml - They have a trolling vibe and get angry easily
- hexbear - not federated with my instance
- maga - not federated

How in the world is there a maga instance? Is like the mecca of bots or something?

Lemmy.world is bad? Is there a way to transfer to another instance?

There are ways to transfer your settings, but I think that’s it. If you’re already there, I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
They have such a large proportion of lemmy, that’s how they can control the front page. If you get friends to join, make sure they try either another instance or maybe piefed? That way, they won’t have as much power. Try to post to other instance communities, regardless of what instance you’re on.
You probably won’t have any issues with the admin, I was watching them carefully when I was there because I they were acting wild from the get go. They were deleting my posts days later for some reason? That admin is still there. I love sh.itjust.works, but I want to try piefed.

LemmyWorld- They curate their front page
Can you provide context for this?

Thanks. Although I was sort of just making a joke with my comment. I have seen a bit of ml and hex, but ended up just ignoring them haha. Thanks for your advice though.
