Comment on He did NOT want to be filmed đł
themeatbridge@lemmy.world â¨11⊠â¨months⊠agoMmm that argument would carry more weight if the video didnât start with her instagram handle. Recording videos to improve your form doesnât need to be shared with the public at large. While I think he was unnecessarily aggressive and threatening about it, I donât think itâs unreasonable to ask people to stop filming when youâre trying to work out.
How many times have you seen an influencer zoom in on a background character supposedly checking her out, or making a stupid face, or using the equipment wrong? I donât want to be in the background of anyoneâs videos, either.
Of course, donât threaten people. Thatâs not OK. Filming in the gym for public sharing should be limited to shots framed to exclusively catch you.

Yeah look I think that behaviour is deplorable also but in that moment you canât be assuming it is content unless itâs obvious. If the gym doesnât have rules on the matter it isnât his place to scold someone. As for it becoming content I would argue that it is due to his reaction. I cant imagine how her looks or pose would have been a great influencer style post anyway.

You have to assume itâs content for your own safety.

Thatâs bollox, if safety was an issue he wouldnât have approached in view of the camera he was giving out about thatâs ridiculous.
If there was a safety concern approach staff or from out of view and donât start off aggressive and threatening.
