TAG@lemmy.world 2 days agoYes, actually. Michael Phelps (American swimmer) was rumored to smoke weed so he could get the munchies and consume more food, giving him extra calories to burn training.
It could also be that they were using marijuana as an illicit pain reliever.

I think he just likes smoking weed, but I like it being couched as giving him some competitive advantage. I swam, and knew a couple ladies who supposedly smoked some weed with him. They were better swimmers than me, so I was not invited of course.

Often when I’m stoned I enter the flow state easier. I can also get way more into my own head and not be able to get into the flow at all.
