  Agreed, just gonna point out that not all (though certainly most) of them are American. Elon and Prince Andrew being good examples.

  Side thought, I’d like to see the ratio of billionaires by nationality. I imagine most would be either American or Chinese, but would be interesting numbers to look at. 🤔

      924 billionaires in the U.S. with a combined $7 trillion in “wealth”. So once Mandani takes all of it away to pay the debt, who is going to pay the remaining $33 trillion?

    Elon is American granted citizenship in 2002, 24 years ago.

    I make this point not for Elon, but for other naturalized citizens. Once granted citizenship you are American, that’s one of the few good things I like about this country. I’ve lived and traveled to other countries where it doesn’t matter if you became a citizen or not because the locals will always consider you not one of them.

        I can only speak of my expirences in the US and other places, but for the most part no that’s not how it is in the US.

        Yes you can find a racist asshole in every country, but what’s the point. I wouldn’t say every Italian is uneducated because I found a person that didn’t complete school.

        But admittedly I left the US before things got out of control. Our federal government is certainly making an attempt at trying to define who should be American. Sad to see and goes against one of the few things I truly loved about my country

        He was only the spare, but he was mummy’s favourite so she paid him an allowance of £250k, which he heavily overspent which led to all these dirty deals with the likes of Epstein.

        While the Royal family are billionaires, that is mostly the assets of the Crown Estate which are controlled for the public good. What they keep is centred around the King and the Prince of Wales.

        what might help is if you shifted away from an amount like a billion to a mechanism and class - they are of the capitalist owning classes who exploit because that is how capitalism works. billionaires to millionaires to thousandaires. own and exploit? boom: roasted.

    That is true. Unfortunately. However the cancer that usa became is generally pathetic - not only disgusting. The approach to money, people, technology, exploitation… it is just hard to comprehend how evil these people are… of course not only American but the concentration and the level of extreme is absolute top there. This is one of little areas that they are really THE “best” and world class.

  Despite having to be a sociopath to hoard that much money, even here on this website people will still defend some billionaires because a few of their aims happen to align.
