I’d be happy if Australians learnt about Australian politics.
This country is filled to the brim with politically ignorant luddites who think they are informed because they solely consume Murdoch media.

Good point. I guess I’m a little biased, having lived in the states through the Obama years when US republicans really took the mask off, now I’m (thankfully) back here with my American wife and US-born kids, so I’m a little bit more attuned to what’s happening over there than the average Aussie. It really chaps my ass when some “enlightened” Australian drops a “well trump is doing a good job on (random thing) at least.” No Sharon, trump isn’t doing, and hasn’t done, a good job on literally anything and may already have ended the global rules based order.
