You are much more resilient than I am. Iāve had trouble sleeping since a break in years ago.
I do feel for people experiencing these situations where they feel theft is necessary for their survival though.

Yeah, look, itās not my favourite thing. Iād much rather not be doing this today. Even so, this one bothers me less than many of the previous incidents because comparatively, itās simple to fix.
Only one thing seems to have been taken.
Nothing else was damaged.
Nobody was threatened or hurt. I wasnāt even present.
I have the means to replace all my cards - I did a passport application all of two weeks ago, so Iāve even got the photos for new ID already on hand! - and nothing immediately pressing that I need the cards for beyond daily convenience.
Iāve got a locksmith coming to check over my door, and I wonāt have to pay for it because my landlord will.
Itās a time consuming inconvenience, but Iāve definitely had a lot worse.
