tombruzzo@aussie.zone 4 days agoMy parents gave me personalised numberplates one time. This was up in NSW where you have to pay a fee to have personalised plates, so they essentially got me an extra $100 on top of my rego every year.
And I drove a silver car so they got me gold number plates. I know no one would have actually cared but I felt like everyone was looking at my car when I drove out of the RTA with the new plates on because they clashed so much

That would have been a better car gift. It was a Mazda 323, nothing special. I know they did it because my brother had personalised plates but he had a Subaru Liberty that was much more interesting and he’s much more of a car guy than me
