Comment on Why does every commercial depiction of honey involve one of this things? Literally nobody has ever seen one of these in real life
Why would this tool necessitate leaving the honey jar open at all times?

The hole for the tool (I actually don’t know the proper name) is small enough for ants to get through.
I don’t know if there’s like a specific German name for it, but the term that I do know is just “honey dipper”
If you leave a spoon in the jar the same way, is the opening too small for ants to get in?
In my area of the world, we have ants that are small enough to get in with either tool propping the lid open
But how large are the holes in your walls or windows to let the ants through?
Are you an alien from another planet?
I’ve only ever had like a single ant that came in when i opened the door. I would then pick it up and set it outside or sometimes kill it. I never had a whole line of ants enter my house and I’m certain they can’t.
