not sure why the downvotes, seriously…anyone who legitimately worries about “preserving their capital” (ie. investment) has already won the game, compared to the overwhelming majority of the world.
most people would be lucky to buy/pay off one home, then pass it onto their kids while covering the inheritance taxes.
because most lemmy people are well-off IT types whose identity is ‘if i’m not a billionaire i’m struggling’
