And I’m not assuming they were attentatively listening; what’s problematic is that they leveraged (unsuccessfully) what they overheard to swoop in like a creepy vulture and try to pick this woman up while she was just trying to have a nice time with her friends.

Because it’s written on 4chan and all men are dangerous and need to be shamed into not approaching anyone. You’re only allowed to approach someone if you’re incredibly attractive and socially perfectly calibrated.
