  I think part of the downvotes are because there’s really not a lot of humor in this story, it’s just a sad story with no message or humour.

    It definitely has a message IMO. But I guess I can see how it doesn’t deliver what most people expect from a greentext.

      Yeah, there’s enough content already on Lemmy that will make you miserable, notably the news.

      I come to green texts to laugh at absurd takes from Anons.

  I also don’t get the downvotes, like being trans doesn’t make you a good person or even progressive in any way…

  And this is a really good story for a greentext IMO
