    It’s not about getting a raise, it’s about asking for it.

    Anecdotally, my biggest raises were also switching jobs, but that’s not the point i (or the meme) was making.

  So you got a raise every year to either match or outpace the rate of inflation?

  Most performance reviews I have had my desire for more pay was dismissed.
