Comment on How does Edward Scissorhands pee?
QuarterSwede@lemmy.world 9 hours agoI mean it’s not easy to spot if you aren’t paying attention. His maker made robots for food processing. His torso was sitting on a desk but his leg was lying in front of himself and it’s not quite clear. That’s the only shot that alludes to him not being real. Tim Burton has a wild imagination.

There was like a 5 second clip where in the creator’s falling apart lab, you get to see the wind blowing the pages of his sketches for Edward flipping by.
It’s so easy to miss, but I caught that tonight.
It’s crazy yo, the last page of the sketches had his hands replaced with ‘real’ hands.
When the creator presented Edward with his new real hands upgrade, Edward apparently didn’t like them and stabbed through them.
Then the creator died, I guess due to a heart attack or something, because I don’t think Edward stabbed the creator…
Sigh, crazy movie…

The creator has the heart attack as he is presenting the hands to Edward. He dies and falls forward which impales the hands on Edward’s blades. Edward desperately wanted the hands he just hadn’t been prepared for such a possibility.
