Comment on President Trump suggested people shouldn’t feel sorry for Joe Biden over his cancer diagnosis

You might hate it, but the vast majority of
practicing Christiansuneducated lead poisoned propaganda brainwashed Americans support him.FTFY.
Christianity has little to do with it as the GOP does not have anything to do with true Christian values.

Stop pretending that the vast majority of practicing Christians don’t support him 100%. We all know it’s true, we see their preachers saying it all the time.
I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw a major Christian figure seriously criticize this administration, or speak out against Trump. The Pope has had a little to say, but it’s still about as strong as a parent telling a child that they are “disappointed.”
I’m waiting for a major political figure to condemn this administration, and tell their followers to resist this immoral, evil administration at every opportunity, but none of them have, and none of them will. Because ultimately, religion isn’t about right and wrong, or good vs evil, it’s about money and control, and in that concept, religion and MAGA are 100% aligned.
Inaminate_Carbon_Rod@lemmy.world 9 hours ago
Saying that religion is only about money and control is like saying “computer games are all about violence”
Both are ignorant statements.
Evil people have attained great power. These people aren’t Christians, yet they pretend they are. These people prey on the poorly educated and the mentally ill.
Pretending to be Christian is just one of the tools in their arsenal.
Sincerely,
A Christian of 5 years who for 40 years was an extremely cocky atheist.

No True Scotsman, much?

Want to go check how much what you described overlaps with the religious electorate?
I’ll wait here.

It’s not just evangelicals, though. It’s the vast majority of American Christians from all sects.

You can put all religious people in the same basket.
People who compromise on logic to create a made up coalition of people with arbitrary rules to contrast other such people or, you know, humanity at large.
