They are also unstable without steering input, unlike bicycles, which makes them way more dangerous. I’d like to see the research.

I guess a point in the scooter’s favor is that you can jump off more easily.

If you’re moving fast, jumping off will not help much. Maybe not getting buried under the bike but not falling full speed

I guess the center of gravity is lower on the scooter too for what it’s worth.
