echodot@feddit.uk 1 day agoIt’s an interesting game and it has some good ideas, but it’s incredibly janky. I’ve seen single devs develop games in less than a year that have better animations.
But despite it’s rather dated look and it’s clunky controls it does have a very large map and a large play account per map. That’s quite attractive to some people.
Although personally I suspect people are going to come up with a better version of the game in battlefield via portal.

every year they come out with a game to dethrone tarkov, and every year the game to dethrone tarkov flops while tarkov keeps going strong, lol.
Well this would be a mod not a game so it doesn’t have to be hugely successful.
It would probably be cheaper to buy the cheapest copy of EFT and mod it with SPT and FIKA co-op compared to paying full price for battlefield and having to mod that INTO tarkov.
I’ve been reading a lot of comments that make it sound like portal is a new thing, but it was in 2042 too and was incredibly underwhelming. Did something new happen with it that I don’t know about?
