  however, “in case of emergency, i have a pet at home alone”: is pretty important….
  e.g. i’m adding my pet to my list of emergency contacts on my phone now… they’ll figure it out.

        No, it’s someone you contact in case you’re in an emergency, not someone in a will necessarily, nor who needs help in an emergency from you necessarily either.
