  … The formula is 1/2 your age + 7 tho.

  So for that 27 year old dating a teenager it would certainly not be okay. 27/2=13.5+7 which i would generously round down to 20 years of appropriate minimum age.

    They got the formula wrong.

    Half your age +7 is the correct one. Works surprisingly well.
