He hosts weekly podcasts where it’s usually just him with the occasional guest or his wife. He would have to be very committed to the act to keep it up.

MegaUltraChicken@lemmy.world 1 week agoMy distrust comes from the ever-present possibility that his public persona is an act, because it’s Hollywood. Outside of that, the dude has always come off genuine and comes from a place of good faith. I would absolutely consider him more an ally than enemy.

Yes but a wealthy celebrity has significantly more money and power to keep that act up, making it more effective.
The only disadvantage they have is higher levels of scrutiny, but again, money and a team of people fixes that pretty quick.
