      Like, Israel spent decades going after anyone tangentially connected to the Holocaust…

      It was just a couple years ago they prosecuted someone in their 90s who was forced to be a teenage secretary for a nazi.

      And you’re legitimately implying:

      The soldiers committing genocide were just following orders. We can’t judge them for what they’re actively doing , which is committing a genocide

      Individuals who commit war crimes can and should be held responsible for their actions. “Just following orders” wasn’t a valid excuse for the Nazis, and it shouldn’t be one for the IDF.

      Have you heard of the Nuremberg trials?

      There is a very strong set precedent that “I was just following orders” does not come close to cutting it.
