  I’m not personally familiar with these jokes, but the signage does appear to be Polish or some similar language. This may not have been the intent?

    the ‘joke’ is that they are spicy (jalapeno) because poles are stupid. unless there’s some interpretation that isn’t really shitty that i’m overlooking it’s a classic right wing ‘joke’.

      Ah lol I wouldn’t have viewed this as a “stupid poles” joke because iblack the context and have often called food with bees on them spicy.

      But, if it’s a thing, I guess it’s a thing.

        I took thought it was actually jalapenos on the inside and wondered why wasps would be attracted if it was spicy and not sweet

      The text on the pastry is literally Polish. It is a pastry in a Polish bakery. You don’t need to be outraged on behalf of someone else.

    It is Polish. No idea why the dude even went there, it is a Polish bakery with wasps on the food. Not uncommon to see over here with some places that are outside or keep doors open.

      It’s a Polak joke. They are a bit out of style in the US. More of a 60’s thing. But it was huge.

        There is no joke, the text is in Polish and this happens all the time in bakeries with sweet shit laid out like this. So you want it to be a “polak joke” when it isn’t. This isn’t someone being racist / nationalistic / making this about haha those stupid Poles, this is literally a bakery in Poland with wasps on it, which isn’t uncommon to see.
