I am not so sure:
https://matrix.org/legal/code-of-conduct
I would like to be in servers where offensive/"racist"/"homophobic" jokes are allowed. The above pretty much precludes that.
Comment on Does anyone know of a Discord alternative?

Yeah I think matrix chat is the way to go. Especially if you can self host. A lot of people are moving to guilded. I don't really know why because it looks to be centralization like discord.

I evade this just by having every room I'm in E2EE. How do they know if I'm being racist or homophobic if they can't read my messages? LOL
What is E2EE?
Yeah you might want to find a more relaxed server.
However, I just signed up for Element and am using a web instance of that now, and that is currently configured to use Matrix. Most of the Matrix rooms I find are dead.
Its popular with FOSS stuff.

Thanks. That is not what I'm after. I am not a server geek and don't want to self-host. I just want an established platform like Discord, just without the homosexuals with the hooked noses running it who disgrace their ethnicity and religion, if they even observe it.

Its federated so you can join any matrix server and people from other servers can join your space/room. Its just a matter of finding a server that shares your values.
Its really the most discord like and the most censorship resistant. But like the fediverse can suffer from instances blocking each other and isolating people. ~~___~~

Yeah, I just don't want to install anything.
