Our big table is currently hosting a lego build, towels waiting to be folded and a tub of cake decorating stuff from me decorating my motherâs birthday cake. There was still enough room for the three of us to eat dinner though.

Thereâs also the couch, where the Minipeelers usually sit for meals. Mr P lays on his bed (in the next room) and eats dinner on a tray. It sounds weird but we are all no more than a few metres from each other. I donât invite people over because I donât want people to see how I live.

I was meant to have friends over last night but they cancelled and Iâm glad because my kitchen looked like a bomb had gone off. Itâs all better today.
Donât be too harsh on yourself. Youâre a working mum who puts her family first. Youâre doing great in my book. đ

Thankyou! đ I tell myself it wonât always be this way, and one day we will have an actual whole house to live in (or I will buy an apartment or regional home and piss off) but at the moment weâre living in a space that was built for one elderly person.
