I got Hulu w/ Live TV for last years' college football season and kept it afterwards to tape cable news shows and special events (like presidential debates). Then they hiked the prices up to like $80/mo or something, which is close to what YouTube TV costs, but I can't justify that cost with how little cable I watch.
Once I knock out more debt I likely will get the MLB Network-only package of MLB.TV, and the a-la-carte option for my favorite MLB team, and in the fall I will get Fox One and ESPN Unlimited. I think that'll be enough for me.

Live sports is one of the only things that still makes sence to have live tv for. Pirate sources for live games is difficult; but I’m not much of a sports fan anyway, so that’s never really enticed me.

Pirated games are very easy to stream in the east :) but I'd only be tempted to pirate in the absence of legal avenues, and the only major league sports team I follow has an a-la-carte streaming platform now. Getting ESPN and Fox Sports for college football is easy. I don't need anything else.
