I haven’t had a live TV service in at least 12 years. I had traded it for Netflix, back when it was the king of streaming services; but that went to shit and got replaced with Emby/Usenet a decade ago. Haven’t paid for media since, baring the very very occasional theatre visit.

I got Hulu w/ Live TV for last years' college football season and kept it afterwards to tape cable news shows and special events (like presidential debates). Then they hiked the prices up to like $80/mo or something, which is close to what YouTube TV costs, but I can't justify that cost with how little cable I watch.

Once I knock out more debt I likely will get the MLB Network-only package of MLB.TV, and the a-la-carte option for my favorite MLB team, and in the fall I will get Fox One and ESPN Unlimited. I think that'll be enough for me.

Live sports is one of the only things that still makes sence to have live tv for. Pirate sources for live games is difficult; but I’m not much of a sports fan anyway, so that’s never really enticed me.
