TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 3 days agoEeek! Please check in at the nearest emergency hospital - head injuries and swelling inside the skull take a bit of time to develop and can be devastating. Any nausea or funny light effects or dizziness or slurred speech - call an ambulance please.
Basically, a serious head knock is equivalent to a stroke - needs to be checked out by professionals.

I’m got an appointment with my local GP in 30 mins to get myself checked out. If they say I should go to the ER I will go. So far I feel ok, just sore and I can feel a lump.

Smart move. The lump is a good sign - maybe no inside the skull bruising, just external. Hope all checks out OK for you.

All clear from the GP - he just said to monitor during the next 24 hours for swaying or anything else unusual, if that happens then I need to go hospital. The $110 bill for the appointment was a sting but my usual bulk billing doctor closes at 6pm, didn’t have a choice. I reckon the shopping centre management should be paying, not me.
