I stole the idea from “The Big Time” by Fritz Lieber.
You can undo mistakes, but the Law of Conservation of Reality makes it very difficult. You can’t just stop yourself from slipping on the ice, you have to come back and redo your actions thousands and thousands of times until it sticks.
