Itâs a weird dichotomy. His performance as a single member might have won him a longer leash to be opposition leader

I didnât know he did porkbarrelling in his own seat. I know itâs what has kept Barnaby Joyce in all this time. Itâs the acknowledgement that you operate on a national stage but youâre voted in by your seat. I wish more politicians would take that on board, even if itâs for selfish reasons.
