That statement could be applied to a lot of things he’s done and gotten away with so far so forgive me if that fails to give me hope

Yeah, I’m getting really tired of people saying “well it’s an illegal order so it doesn’t matter” and not giving it another thought, despite everyone in power treating them as perfectly legal, and nobody doing a goddamn thing to put a stop to it.
If trump issues an executive order calling for executions of minorities, it doesn’t fucking matter how legal it is if the powers that be let people do it, and let Trump stay out of prison.
We aren’t to that point just yet, but I fully believe something on that level is coming, they’ve just got to ease into it so it just doesn’t seem that much worse than the last thing that was done.
Until I see actual consequences that make a difference, my hopes are sitting around 0.
