How much free space do you have on there? Iāve only got a 1tb in my gaming pc because media lives on the NAS. I could probably have gotten away with a 500gb.

I can get one for about $169 but Iām all about cost minimisation

Thereās plenty of free space on there at the moment because it just has work stuff.
It might replace my current laptop because it can get pretty slow at times, but weirdly itās only on the internet, and specifically sites like Google Maps.
I donāt have a NAS set up yet. Definitely on my list of things to do, I should just buy one because Iāve had trouble getting the desktop to work as remote storage.

2tb is heaps for a laptop, do you need that much?
If you drop down to gen 3, itāll still be plenty fast and slightly cheaper: ā¦com.au/ā¦/silicon-power-2tb-p34a60-gen3x4-tlc-r-wā¦
But gen4 from the same site is not much more: ā¦com.au/ā¦/klevv-2tb-cras-c910-k02tbm2sp0-c91-pcieā¦
Never heard of klevv though, could be sketchy

I just figured Iād keep it consistent. The HP SSD Iām looking at is at least a known brand and a bit faster for just a bit more.
The current laptop is filing up, but thatās from trying to get old games running on it through WINE and not being partitioned properly because I left Windows on there. I could back everything up to the new laptop and do a clean sweep of the old one.
