The GoT books are great! At least they have fleshed out women characters (something LotR books lack), but comparing the GoT show to LotR movies is like comparing a steaming pile of dung to golden apples đ

Freya. The Norns. But I guess goddesses donât exactly count as people. No matter how badly they behave. Have you read Sagaland by Richard Fidler? Itâs a collab between him and Kari Gislason about the people behind norse myths/stories - can be a challenging read but revelatory.
