Just read a few review, looks awesome! When my current budget phone starts acting up I’d be looking for something exactly like that I reckon

that new nothing phone 3a in blue has me questioning my phone sexuality. And at half the price of a new iphone its VERY tempting. How are google, samsung and apple producing the same shit year in year out with minimal upgrades charging such insane prices when this beautiful thing is innovative and so cheap?
Non starter anyway, nothing wrong with my phone. But when it does die… Why would I spend double the price of the nothing to just get another boring slab of steel and glass? Apples ecosystem is bloody nice. But Siri is still a disaster 5 years in, apple intelligence is DOA and if Steve Jobs were still around he’d have someone shot for the current state of iOS18.

I’ve been using the Nothing Phone 2a+ since the 3G shutdown, it’s okay but a little bare bones compared to Xiaomi devices who have significantly larger userbases.
Aside from the cheaper chipset, I mainly miss auto-HDR, I didn’t realise how much of my phone use was the OS supporting HDR when the applications didn’t themselves.
Like I said it’s okay, but still probably my lowest value phone I’ve owned in the last decade, after having enjoyed highly competitive imports.

I wouldnt ever use a Xiaomi. I understand why people do, but the experience just isnt there for me. the OS still looks like crap. they’ve toned it down a ton, but where Samsung evolved past the S1 UI design a lot of the Chinese manufacturers didnt fully.
theres also the concern of using a Chinese OS.

Looks good. My pixel5 is getting long in the tooth. I wish phones came with a case. It’d be such a minor addition for the manufacturer to include one.

yeah thats why I jumped ship to apple. Completely over googles BS. But Apple seems to be be stuck in a bit of a rut as well.

iTunes kept me out of the apple ecosystem 20 odd years ago. I still manage my mp3s with directories.

Ah I jumped ship to spotify years ago. Now apple music for the better quality. Saves me a fortune of what I was paying in itunes for music.
