To say nothing of the wider hypothetical conflict, wouldn’t the US bases themselves be trivial to overrun? I doubt they’re set up to defend themselves from the host country.

Dont they technically own those bases? They ones i remember were very explicitly named RAF (Royal Air Force), don’t know about other US branches presence
