cedarmesa@lemmy.world 8 months agoAlso how do you verify the age of what is essentially a cartoon character? Like if the csam is an obvious toddler thats one thing. I saw an ai pic on here a while back and was like, looks a lil young, borderline, cant really tell. Who gets to decide what is and isnt csam? Certainly our illustrious police in america wouldnt selectively arrest folks based on prejudice. I see potential for a new “we smelled weed in your car” with devastating consequences.

Thats exactly my point. Sure the courts may rule in your favor eventually but you just got marched out of work in handcuffs for possession of CSAM, your entire personal and professional circle knows and any explanation you offer is going to sound like total bullshit.
