  And being willing to have a couple dozen of your own guys get killed for every dead event. I feel this tiny detail is being overlooked in this thread.

    It was closer to 3 - 1 during the first two Indochina wars, and 1 - 3 (in the other direction) during the third.
    (The US weren’t the only enemy)
