Ion is used as a replacement for “I don’t”. This can be found especially on twitter. Tweet: ion like driving at night. by Airwick August 27, 2012

Not common enough, I have never heard it. And it should be ridiculed because it’s dumb.

Lol I think it could actually be correct grammatically if they added apostrophes.
I’on’ wanna shortened from I don’t wanna.

I had to read it a few times and then I was only assuming I understood. I came into the comments in hopes it would make more sense. The down votes I am getting makes me think it’s a generational thing and that’s why I don’t get it.

It’s extremely common. Might be a good idea to step outside of your hometown sometime soon and see what the rest of the country is up to.

Don’t make that kind of assumption. You don’t know anything about me. I have interacted with people from all walks of life from all parts of the US and have traveled the farthest west on the Pacific and the Eastern part of the Atlantic for my career. My job is communication. I have yet to visit the middle east or Asia but this wouldn’t have helped me understand a highschool graduates chat slang.
