I was really disappointed by the film about him with Michael Keaton. Even though they couldn’t completely hide who he really was, it was a hagiography.

Ray Kroc started buying up the land the franchises were being built on and became McDonald’s landlord. Then he was able to eventually to force McDonald brothers into a deal because he could have shut down the businesses by not renewing their leases on the land.
