I live in a rural setting, so 90% of the time the answer to that question is wild animal poop or some dead critter. Sometimes though it’s a bug or random fruit/veggie.

I live in a city where “people” sometimes throw around sausages with razors for dogs to eat and die. So there’s that.

I learned a whole new hatred for people who don’t follow Leave No Trace principals and fail to dig a latrine/cat hole.
