Hmmm well if you think tiktok should be banned for spying then do you think american social media platforms should be banned for doing the same thing?

I think that retort is just there to point out that other social media platforms definitely will not be banned at any point, calling to question the legitimacy of the claim that the ban is because of invasive spy practices. Hypocrisy is loud.

They will be if they send data to China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and/or Venezuela. Because that’s how the law which bans TikTok was written.
