That’s nice, as it was the worst part of the movie. I still don’t understand, why they had to use Ian Holmes’ face as it wasn’t even the same android.

That was seriously dumb and confusing

I presume it’s the fact they’re all just made on a production line like the way all T800,Cyberdyne systems model 101 terminators all look like Arnold.
The fact it looks like Ash means fans are already suspicious of it’s intentions, caring more for the preservation of the xenomorph rather than human life. It’s also a blatant nostalgic throwback for fans of the original.
Personally, I didn’t like the fact it links back to Prometheus. The whole film has too many Easter eggs which was too distracting.

I found the whole movie disappointing, it felt way too disneyesque in its treatment of the originals. So many forced references and unneeded quotes, it distracted and degraded the otherwise decent plot (why the fuck does the android have to quote ripley saving newt? Why does every second shot look like they desperately try to evoke previous imagery?).
I found the exact same scheme in place when watching the predator remake, it hits way too hard on the reference bag, to the point I could predict certain dialogues.
