A $26m worldwide opening weekend isn’t great, is it.
So that’ll be streaming on PVOD next week, with the 4K and Blu-ray two weeks later then, I guess? 😆

I was thinking of pickup up the Arrow Video Blu-ray in preparation for the upcoming release of the sequel. Is it just the 4K affected?

Beaten by thirteen minutes! 😆 Considering this never had a Blu-ray release, I may have to pick this one up.

- Comment on As ‘Kraven’ Hunts for Audience, Sony's Marvel Universe Takes Final Bow for Now | Analysis 1 week ago:
My favourite part of Morbius, and I haven’t actually seen the film, was revealed on the Corridor Crew’s VFX Artist’s React. Some poor VFX bloke had modelled a construction site or underground site with a lot of detail. Then, when the scene was lit, it was made so dark, you couldn’t see any of the work that had been done.

- Comment on Stop taking physical media fans for granted 1 week ago:
I think it’s safe to say the majority of the time, it will be the same disc with cheaper packaging. With 4K being niche, I can’t imagine that the studios would want to spend the money pressing a new version of the film.
- Comment on Stop taking physical media fans for granted 1 week ago:
The problem is that nearly all games need huge patches after launch, and so it makes physical collecting a bit pointless these days.
In terms of Switch games, several publishers have deliberately being using smaller carts (to save money) and you have to download the rest of the game when you get home with your purchase. I remember the guys who ported Diablo III were proud of the fact the entire games was on the cartridge upon launch.

I don’t consider publicity stills printed onto postcards as something worth paying extra money for. “Art cards” indeed!
There seems to be a trend of charging an extra £10 or so because they’ve filled the box with extra items which are just paper related.

I still haven’t seen part 2 yet but I bought both in 4k from a black Friday sale. These comments are encouraging. ☺️
- Comment on Disc market share for week ending in 2024-11-23: As 4K reaches a whopping 31.7% of the pie, Beetlejuice and Godzilla dominate the charts! 1 week ago:
I know Godzilla Minus One is a new release, but it’s a bare bones disc for £29! If you want the special features, it looks like you need the special edition for £66. Ouch.

- Comment on KRAVEN THE HUNTER - Opening 8 Minutes 2 weeks ago:
Well this is a character I know nothing about, so maybe that will explain my initial thoughts.
The clip introduced the character of Kraven well and it has me interested in the full film. The problem is, are you telling me not one guard managed to shoot him at all in that sequence? They were almost point blank at times. Not a single scratch!

- Comment on We all took the DVD boom era for granted 2 weeks ago:
There are tons of great documentaries out there and it was always a surprise to discover them. Especially when the dvd case listed it as a featurette and it turned out to run for 60 minutes or so.
The Bladerunner documentary I think is about 3½ hours long, The Frigteners has one that lasts 4½ hours. 12 Monkeys has one called The Hamster Factor and Other Tales of 12 Monkeys which is excellent.
But sometimes, they can be disappointing. Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny comes with an hour long documentary but it’s terrible (in my opinion).
You know those promo interviews that are edited with quick cuts of behind the scenes action and everyone says how great making the film was. It’s that for an hour. I lasted 20 minutes.
It’s not like the old days where it focuses on one aspect like a certain stunt or sequence and then breaks it down and talks to the relevant people. It’s just all over the place.

- Comment on Long time Ridley Scott collaborator slams the Gladiator 2 director for being "lazy" and "impatient" with his filmmaking: "Having lots of cameras I don’t think has made the films any better" 2 weeks ago:
Apparently, the comments were taken out of context. It’s from a 2 hour interview, edited down to 30 minutes. Hence the confusion.
