Dude you have no idea how many times I failed to realise it was fluff in the charging port. It keeps happening and I keep forgetting how I fixed it last time đ¤Ł

went and got my phone repaired the other day. They are like âWe will take it out the back and clean itâ i was like âyeah i tried that, but by all means have a crackâ. Meanwhile they have the new iPhones sitting on the table for you to play with and maaaaaaaan that display is nice! even gives you a âwhat would it cost if you trade your phone inâ turns out yeah still 1600 bucks if I trade mine in. Nice display but we might wait for the new one to come out and buy the old one on the cheap
Also turns out it was just fluff in the charging port. The IT Engineer folks, how the mighty have fallen.

Speaker ports on a phone can get blocked too.
If youâre careful and you use some bluetak you can also keep it clean that way.

I have a 12 mini. I got it when my eyesight was as better and I could read the screen easily. I took mum to get her phone checked out the other day and had a look at the new ones.
Nah, Iâll stick to the mini with the little screen. I love the compact form factor and I reckon that I will get a battery replacement and get another 4 years out of it.

Yeah if I do it itâll be september when this ones 3 years old. Its fairly scratched and bitten at this point so for 1k I dont feel too bad replacing every 3 years if it lasts that long.

I have to get a fine sewing needle out and occasionally have a careful pick and scrape. Itâs amazing the pocket fluffy that comes out.

yeah I use a sim tray ejector. Apple told me off for this though, they said it might damage the pins which is probably fair.

Toothpick would probs work as well with less chance of shorting the pins.

probably better yeah!
