That and the Prometheans were just so unsatisfying as enemies.
The teleporting away (and appearing randomly), how you didn’t seem to visibly hurt them / bullet sponge, disappearing on death etc all contributed to it feeling like a chore to off them.
5 was a bit better but still nowhere near the fun of 1-3/reach/odst

- Comment on Hypothetically, if some mysterious force started to jam every radio frequency, how would modern day society adapt to this? 1 month ago:
Interestingly in Ukraine they are beginning to use drones with huge spools of fibre optic cable to transmit control and video signals. They’re doing this because of the jamming.

I would love for some more variety on the one planet. I feel like once you’ve landed and explored a 100m radius you’ve basically seen everything the planet has to offer.
How cool would it be to land in a desert, then takeoff and fly across jungles, heading to the poles for snow etc.
They said, the updates they’ve made have been amazing. You can land on water and fish from your spaceship now!

I thought you’d be thinking of MMP - that nearest loser sounds interesting! It does seem to be the road to better representation.
I’m all for change - I think it’d need to be accompanied with plenty of education in the form of AEC ads on tv and online. Not so much the ‘how to vote’ but more the ‘how our system works’. Plenty of people I talk to have no idea about IRV, and consider voting for anything other than libs or Labor “throwing your vote” - which it can totally not be if people are aware of how it works.

Sounds good. I’m interested in why you think your vote doesn’t matter in IRV? And what system you’d replace it with

Titanfall 2 is an amazing game. It’s single player is one of the best - it never gets stale as there’s always a new mechanic, both as a ‘pilot’ (soldier) or in a titan, to master or a twist you didn’t see coming. The story itself is top notch, and it’s length is good.
If I remember right, you can pause at anytime, even in cutscenes. They’re not long though.
Plus, the multiplayer has been fixed just recently so you can vs others in some of the best feeling combat any game has to offer.
I’ve never played the others though, so feel free to go with them.
- Comment on Could you compress text files by mapping a word to how commonly it is used and translating it with an application? 1 year ago:
That’s pretty much what a tokenizer does for Large Language Models like Chat-GPT. You can see how it works here: platform.openai.com/tokenizer
Type in the word ‘Antidisestablishmentarianism’ and you can see it becomes 5 tokens instead of 28 characters.
