This is well studied in “capital and ideology”. Over the last 40 years in usa, euorpe educated tend to vote left, wealth votes right, which is a switch from how it used to be.
However it seems like at least in usa there isn’t that much difference between left and right when it comes to taxing wealth. Hence the steep rise in inequity since regan

What I’m saying is there are tonnea of people who work hard for low pay everyday (ex. teachers and nurses).
Being in a position of power however would likely corrupt them (or maybe attract corrupt people)

Good will seems to work for teachers and nurses. Problem is more money would likely come from other sources (bribes, lobbying, that sort of thing)

Canadian here its not silly, you can wait 12+ hours for very serious conditions (as I have once, I realize this is anecdotal).
This doesn’t mean its worse than in the states. I understand on average we are doing better healthcare wise than the states (interms of cost and mortality). However for the well insured in the states I believe the care is better.
Yet another issue with being so close to the states our health care suffers because our corrupt politicians see your system and drag us closer to it. You all also attract doctors away from us.

Looking in my area FR-S’ seem about the same price, gr86’s seemed a bit more pricey. I considered them all equal when i was looking (at the time i was looking at wrx’s or miata’s also). Really enjoy driving this this car so far only downside is more expensive gas, and the paint which seems to chip super easy.

15k cad, and 26k km for my very serious brz (also 13 years old). I also had the same lack of evs in my price range (not even including fun ones).

You could easily use this same logic (if you can’t afford the tip don’t eat out) the other way: if you can’t make enough in a tipping profession when someone doesn’t tip don’t work there.
Tipping is also highly biased, good looking people get more. There are racial aspects. The whole thing sucks.
I’m ok with tipping for performance, tipping as expectation is terrible. All of this is stupid anyway we should be taxing wealthy people and making the world a better place for all.
