Then your real problem is you don’t have an effective way to set and measure goals.

Not sarcastic. It would be such a relief.

But at least you can get taxis. The car-free utopia leaves out a lot of people like disabled and elderly.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could each have our own private pods?

I agree with everything you said except the idea that I was being dismissive. It’s terribly concerning, especially if the symptoms have arisen recently. Because it often takes a long time to arrive at a proper diagnosis, it’s important to start down that path at once.

If this feels new rather than something you’ve always dealt with, please get evaluated by a doctor right away. Nobody on Lemmy can diagnose you over the Internet.

Just today I was searching for a news article about a local radio personality who got fired in the last few days. Zero results. Just extraneous garbage. I was stunned.

Except when the next word starts with a vowel. Then they add extraneous “r” sounds.

There seems to be a shortage of critical thinking and problem solving skills, that’s for sure.
What I see that makes it worse now than in the past is the Internet. It’s easy now to find a group that agrees with your delusions and live in an echo chamber where mistaken beliefs are not challenged.

So … don’t you need paper to dry off? How do you keep from spraying water everywhere and getting your clothes wet? Forgive my cluelessness, but I’ve often wondered how it works.
- Comment on This toilet paper at my work 11 months ago:
Yep, and if you folded it, the little pointy edges would lacerate your tender bits.

Ask yourself, if the roles were reversed would you judge a friend harshly for asking for help? Of course not. Do what you need to do to survive.

Some people jokingly call it KOTOR3 since you can solo most of the story. There’s a lot of f2p content if you want to give it a try. swtor.com

Still obsessed with Star Wars: The Old Republic after all these years
- Comment on What game has a great story and is worth the time investment? 1 year ago:
I’ve been playing Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG on the PC since its inception more than a decade ago and I am still loving it. It’s playable as a solo game (I rarely group up for anything) and there are 8 different character classes, each with their own unique story and missions. It’s very much a typical Bioware product. So YMMV I guess.
