That’s a really really well done video! No fluff, just all insightful content in a nice package!
- Comment on Why are podcasters/vloggers suddenly holding tiny mics? 1 week ago:
That was a great watch, but I think it’s actually more simple than that. Content creators want to focus on their content. If it is now considered acceptable to have a mic on camera, hiding it is one less thing they have to deal with while shooting.
I do find it extremely odd to hold a lav mic though. Maybe that’s the only mic they own. I donno.
- Comment on Why are podcasters/vloggers suddenly holding tiny mics? 1 week ago:
This. Any time you’re not sitting at a desk/studio you need some kind of mic. And these new wireless mics work well. Now people are opting to not buy/use the big studio mics because the wireless ones work good enough and go anywhere.

That Karen has threatened your life. Handle the situation as such.

I’m living in an RV, still have a bidet. I’ve also installed them in countless apartments either for myself or people I know. As long as you remove it before moving out, they don’t care.

People still not using a bidet in 2025… smh
- Comment on The sheer amount of websites that are completely unusable without JavaScript 1 month ago:
Something as simple as a slide out menu needs JavaScript and couldn’t really be done server side.
I’m not trying to tell anyone how to design their webpages. I’m also a bit old fashioned. But I stopped making animated gimmicks many years ago. When someone is viewing such things on a small screen, in landscape mode, it’s going to be a shit user experience at best. That’s just my 2 cents from personal experience.
I’m sure there are examples of where js is necessary. It certainly has it’s place. I just feel like it’s over used. Now if you’re at the mercy of someone else that demands x y and z, then I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.
- Comment on The sheer amount of websites that are completely unusable without JavaScript 1 month ago:
I would argue that a lot it scripting can and should be done server side.
- Comment on Should you look for a relationship if it feels like a compromise? 1 month ago:
I’m in the same boat. Being someone’s entire universe is horrible. From now on I require a partner to be passionate about at least two hobbies and have some damn friends!
As for OP, poly/open relationships are a thing.

And why the fuck is windows always “preparing” to do something!? Are you generating a record of my activities to phone home with? Just do the damn thing!
- Comment on Modern Windows in a nutshell 1 month ago:
On the computers I still have running windows, this is what I’m using and I have dodged So much of the bullshit people have been dealing with. I’m still running Linux on my main machines though. Maybe by the end of the year I’ll have migrated everything away from both Microsoft and Google.

1 That’s a significant age gap at that age. 2 The idea is fine but the execution is shitty.
- Comment on what's the best material for wiping out a cast iron skillet? 2 months ago:
I had to scroll way too far to find this. Chainmail, salt, water, wooden utensils, and whatever you season with (I use Crisco).
Reading comments in this thread reminds me why I don’t let anyone use my cast iron.

Most Americans are completely clueless that anything is even happening. They’re just going about their days as they always have. Especially the older generations.

It’s not even that much of a gap. They’ll crush their employees under the weight of dozen elephants if it nets them an extra 5%.
