When only rich people are able to get to government because dumb people only vote the ones that show up on tv.
- Comment on Why is the legal system so expensive? 1 year ago:
That’s why I get mad when I see people asking to regulate X thing.
Most of the times the regulation only helps a small group of people, and most times these are the rich folks who can afford to either circumvent or to abide by it.

Yeah cats also can byte for the same reason: growing teeth.

Nothing screams more of a cat person than a hand full of scratches

Some cats do bite randomly but that’s their way of showing affection. They see you as one of them, so they bite you. They just don’t understand (or really don’t care) that without an entire layer of fur they’re hurting you.
- Comment on How is former president of the US Donald Trump still free when a lot of the accomplices in things he has been indicted for are already in jail and or prison except him? 1 year ago:
Wouldn’t that be a good precedent? Meaning that no one, no matter the position or how rich he is is above the law.

Yes, in a sense it can lead to killing all these small artists instead.

It’s both, it’s an ad plus a since you like X, try Y.
One thing very harmful that may come from this, is that they can use this system as well in the auto-play feature, so artists who pay more to Spotify will be auto-played more when you’re listening to music.
Afaik is not happening yet, but it will.

The entire point of Spotify being so popular. The algorithm learns what you like to listen and presents you with new music of the genre you probably were unaware about. This ad is just one more way of they doing that (but now artists who pay the ad can push it faster).

According to them here that’s basically an ad that is shown only if the algorithm “thinks” it’s your music taste.
Could help some smaller artists in your preferred genre to show themselves, while Spotify makes a profit.

But it links to it, which is equally as bad. In your logic thepiratebay would never have any problems with law enforcement because they technically don’t host any of the pirated content, just link to it.

Exactly, he’s protecting himself.
